The winery was founded in 2003, but the family has 3 generations in vine cultivation. The main building is in the midst of vineyards, so the quality of the grapes remain intact in its short trip from vine to press. This winery has 25 hectares of vineyards, which use the trellis system and drip-irrigation. The bodega cultivates Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon,Monastrell and produces about 50,000 bottles a year. It has 100 oak barrels, 80 American oak and 20 French, as well as stainless steel tanks with a capacity for 125,000 gallons.
Atalaya Laya 2017 is deep cherry in color. Elegant, fresh and complex nose that highlights ripe fruit and floral notes. Nice and fresh on the palate, well balanced with sweet byt still young tannins, a delicious mouthfilling sensation that lingers on the very long and smooth finish.
